CLARINET

The clarinet lessons are only offered to slightly older children starting at 9 years old. If younger children wish to learn the clarinet we encourage them to start in the pre-instrumental or recorder classes before moving on to clarinet. This will assist them considerably when beginning the clarinet. Lessons are taught in groups of 4-6 students.

Clarinets are available for hire from the music school. Please refer to our instrument hire page for further information.

All clarinet pupils are encouraged to be in one of the bands at the Papakura Music School..

Students need to purchase their own book, reeds and music stand. All books required are available for purchase from the music school.
