FRENCH HORN

French Horn is the most challenging instrument that we offer at our school. We recommend this only for the more determined children otherwise this will be a very unforgiving instrument! This instrument is suitable for 10 years and above. Lessons are taught in groups of 4-6 students.

We have a wonderful team tutoring French Horn and our French Horn graduates are now participating in adult bands and orchestras around Auckland. The French Horn has a wonderful sound that you will recognise from the movies if not from classical music.

All French Horn pupils are encouraged to be in one of the bands at the Papakura Music School and there is also the option to play in the orchestra for the more advanced pupils.

Students need to purchase their own book and music stand. All books required are available for purchase from the music school.
