FLUTE

The flute lessons are only offered to children starting at 8 years old. If younger children wish to learn the flute we encourage them to start in the pre-instrumental or recorder classes before moving on to flute. This will assist them considerably when beginning the flute. We teach in groups of 4-6 students.

Flutes are available for hire from the music school. Please refer to our instrument hire page for further information.

All flute pupils are encouraged to be in one of the bands at the Papakura Music School. Students need to purchase their own book and music stand. All books required are available for purchase from the music school.
