PAPAKURA SANTA PARADE
December 2022
What an amazing day at the Papakura Santa Parade! Thank you to all our wonderful helpers who made it happen; behind the scenes organisers, decoration donors, the decorating team, our truck driver and pirate ship tower, float supervisors and flag walkers. We put on a show with our concert band and award winning Papakura Music School pirates. The pirates took home a lovely rosette and 3rd place in the float competition.
CENTRE COURT CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE

Our violins, drums, recorders and flutes performed their lovely tunes to family and shoppers yesterday at Centre Court, Papakura.
THE MOVE TO MANGAPIKOPIKO SCHOOL
December 2022
Thank you to everyone who came to our Working Bee. We really couldn't have done the move without your help. It took us 6 1/2 hours! Seeing all our instruments and things lined up outside waiting for the moving truck made me reflect on how we are not defined by a place, but the heart of Papakura Music School is all about the people.
We said our goodbyes to Papakura High School and opened a new chapter at Mangapikopiko School. We look forward to welcoming the rest of our community there in the new year.
VODAFONE EVENT'S CENTRE PERFORMANCE

In May our Concert Band, Cello and Flute groups performed in the foyer of the Vodafone Events Centre in Manukau before the APO Snow & Ice Community Classics South Concert. It was an amazing experience for our students and how lovely did they look in their Papakura Music School waistcoats!
We are grateful to the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra for giving us this wonderful opportunity to perform.
APO COMMUNITY CLASSICS CONCERT
18th October, 2020
Today kids from Music School were invited on bus trip to watch the APO Community Classics Concert. We were given front row VIP seats. Favorite pieces were '"The Nutcracker" & "Pirates of the Caribbean". They were really excited to see the different instruments played. Harps, percussion, bassoon. They talked about the different sections in the orchestra. Big thank you to the APO for organizing this event and to our amazing bus driver even if he didn't go through the drive though at McDonald's.
BAND DAY OUT!

In order to create as many learning opportunities as possible for our students this year we held "Band Day Out" in the first week of the school holidays for our band kids. A full day of band rehearsals, sectionals, advanced music theory and games. Thank you to our our wonderful tutors Aleisha, Morgan and Jovi for making the day so fun!
